This is a belt made of cotton with katazome ( stencil-dye ) whose motif is "shogi no koma ( pieces of Japanese chess ). It is sewn by machine. In good condition. 20th century. 5.5cm x 126cm

This is a kendo-gi worn under the protective gear for the trunk ( torso ). It is made of indigo dyed cotton with hand-stiched sashiko ( quilting ). Kendo is Japanese art of fencing. It is used and have some wear in the collar. 20th century. 96cm x 73cm

This is a pair of roji geta (clogs) which are used at the tea ceremony. Instead of zōri (sandals), they are used in case of snow or rain in the roji (adjacent garden). Used but in good condition. The base is made of cedar and straps are made of bamboo skin. 9.5cm x 25cm four pairs are available

This is a silk meisen girl's kimono with fruits pattern, which is weft and warp kasuri. It has many light stains, color bleeding and stain in the lining. Mid 20th century. 110cm x 115cm

This is a obi (sash) for a rather casual kimono. It has woven peony pattern which is 40% of the length in both sides. In good condition but has folded lines, stains and some dirty parts. The former half of the 20th century. 31cm x 4m16cm

Small fukusa with good hand-painting of an old man and plum tree motif on plain silk. It has small light stains but in good condition as a whole. Taisho or Showa era (1920s~1930s). 35cm x 35cm 13.8"x13.8"

This is a cotton shibori ( tie-dyeing ) child's kimono. The shibori technique is "hira-nui hikishime shibori ( stitched and gathered ). It has many brown stains. Taisho or early Showa period ( 1920s~1940s ). 90cm x 98cm 35.4" x 38.6"

This is a box handwoven of bamboo strips. It is used for papers or documents. In good condition except for some bamboo strips rolled around the rim of the lid　are lost. The former half of the 20th century. 23cm x 30.5cm x 6.5cm

This is a woman's silk meisen haori with book and plant pattern which is weft and warp kasuri. It has woven silver threads which means it was made between 1920s to 1940s. In excellent condition and looks new. 123cm x 96cm
