| This is a Korean wrapping cloth, chogappo which is made of pieces of asa ( linen ) and some are hand-plied and hand-woven. "Pojagi" is general name for a wrapping cloth and "chogappo" is one kind of pojagi which is made of patchworked silk as well as asa ( reference source: "Korean Embroidery and Wrapping Cloths from the Choson Dynasty" published by Japan Art & Culture Association in 1995 ). This one is made of fragments of asa and hand-sewn together. It is chemical dyed. In good condition except for some stains. The former half of the 20th century. 81.5cm x 82cm | |||||||||||||
