Japanese Antique Textile Echigo Jofu Girl's Kimono

This is an Echigo jofu girl's kimono which is hand-woven of hand-plied asa ( hemp ) and dyed with natural indigo. Echigo jofu was produced in Echigo region in Niigata prefecture in Japan Sea side. It has simple stiched "semamori ( charm ) with silk threads in the back. It has benibana ( safflower ) dyed silk crepe lining in the sleeves. Late 19th to early 20th century. In excellent condition except for many moth holes in the red muslin lining. 64cm x 71cm
