| This is a doll named "Eho-mairi". It means going and offering prayers at the temple or the shrine which is located in the lucky direction of the year on the New Year's Day. This doll is one of the Japanese dolls called "kimekomi ningyo" which is a wood carved figure with costume made of pasted textiles. The doll is holding a branch with many lucky toys hanging such as daruma, tai ( sea bream ), koban ( oval gold coin ), dice etc. In good condition except for a minor damage in the black lacquer in the base.
