Japanese Contemporary Ceramic Fish Figure

This is a ceramic figure of kajika ( one kind of rock fish ), which lives in clear rivers in Japan. It has strong impact and very appealing. Nagase Wataru is a contemporary pottery artist, born in Yamagata prefecture ( 1977~ )and finished graduate school at Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music in 2002. He won many prizes and lives in Nagasaki now. His main works are creatures in the ocean and the river. In excellent condition. It comes with a wood box with his painting of the fish and sign. Contemporary. L:21.5cm W:15.5cm H:12cm
