Japanese Vintage Textile Boro Futonji With Sashiko
This is a parts of boro futonji made of hand-spun and natural indigo dyed cotton and the brown check is probably natural brown cotton. It has cords in one side that means this futon was stuffed with shredded rice straw or other dried weeds instead of cotton. It is from Tohoku district where cotton was very precious. The former half of the 20th century. 59cm x 180cm
