This is a "nobori" made of hand-spun cotton and has hand-painted samurai and horse motifs. The technique used is tsutsugaki and painted with pigments. It is a part of the original length. Generally in good condition except for a mending, water wet stains in the white horse and a few holes. 19th century ( probably late Edo ) 94cm x 2m8cm
