Japanese Antique Textile Asa Naga-kamishimo

This is a naga-kamishimo, a combination of kataginu and naga-bakama which is made of handwoven thick asa (hemp) cloth and natural indigo dyed. It was worn on the stage such as Kyogen. It is considerably old as the warps as well as the wefts are hand-plied. Also, it has a thin wooden board in the top back of the naga-bakama which is replaced with thick paper these days. It has a mending patch, some holes and wear. Kataginu:63cm x 70cm Naga-bakama:56cm x 163cm
