Meisen kimono with geometric pattern which is weft kasuri. Meisen is a plain weave silk cloth whose patterns are such as checks, stripes, weft kasuri, warp kasuri and double kasuri. The word kasuri means ikat. Meisen is woven of second grade silk threads so that it was worn as a daily kimono. They have bold and modern designs comparing with formal kimonos. In excellent condition. The lining is cotton. Early Showa period,1930s. 122cm x 141cm
