Katazome-mon-shi (woodblock print on Japanese paper) with mingei (folk art) motifs. It was first created by Serizawa Keisuke (1927~1984) who was a textile dyeing artist and a Living National Treasure. He was inspired by Okinawan Bingata, stencil-dyeing so much that he first created stencil-dyeing paper print in 1935. He was also involved in Japanese Folk Art Movement. The designs of these prints originated from his design and probably made by his successor such as Okamura Kichiemon, Kojima Tokujiro, Goto Seikichiro and so on. The frame paper have discoloration in the rims and the prints have blotches, some have wrinkles, however generally in good condition. 20th century. Frame:45cm x 36cm, 32cm x 27cm
