Gorgeous gold raised lacquerwork (taka-makie) wan with rare pattern of cocoons, moth and mulberry leaves. Both a lid and a bowl are amazingly thin. This wan shows an prominent craftsmanship in Meiji when makie technique was full bloomed. Meiji era (1986~1912). In excellent condition. Diameter 13cm 5.1" Height 7.5cm 2.9"
