Japanese Antique Textile Buddhist Priest's Garment

This is a Buddhist priest's garment ( ho-i) worn in a Buddhist rite or a ceremony. It is made of plain silk in beautiful green color with patina in some parts. All sewn by hand. In good condition except for a mending patch and mending stitches in the top of one of the sleeves. Late Meiji or Taisho era ( ca. 1900s~1920s ). 184cm x 121cm 72" x 48"
