This is a cotton furoshiki ( wrapping cloth ) made of hand-spun and natural indigo dyed cotton. Karakusa and crest designs are "tsutsugaki" which is free hand painting using rice paste as resist. In good condition except for about ten holes and rips ( 1~2cm ). Meiji or Taisho period ( ca. late 19th to early 20th C ). 120cm x 122cm 47.2" x 48"
