This is a beautiful girl's kimono made of hand-woven asa ( hemp ) and dyed with benibana ( safflower ). Benibana was cultivated in Shonai region in old days in Yamagata prefecture in Tohoku district, however it is mainly imported from abroad now. Meiji period ( 1868~1912 ) In excellent condition except for a hole in the lower back ( 3mm x 5mm ). 70cm x 86cm 27.6" x 33.9"
