Japanese Antique Textile Kiri Karakusa Futon Cover
This is a futon cover made of hand-woven cotton and dyed with natural indigo. It has katazome ( stencil-dyeing ) kiri ( paulownia ) karakusa pattern. It has same pattern on both sides. It has several tiny holes and faded much from heavy washing, however in good condition as a whole. It still has nice thick texture. Meiji period ( 1868~1912 ) 124cm x 162cm
