Japanese Antique Textile Omi-jofu Apron
This is an apron made of Omi-jofu ( ramie ) which is hand-spun and dyed with natural indigo. Omi region in Shiga prefecture near kyoto has was one of product places of jofu. Jofu is hand-spun and handwoven thin a kind of asa cloth. Meiji period ( 1868~1912 ) In excellent condition. 31.5cm x 71cm 12.4" x 28"
