| This is a meisen haori ( coat ) in purple ground with dots pattern. Meisen fabric is machine-woven pongee silk and has kasuri ( ikat ) pattern. It was very popular among young women with its bold and colorful design in early to mid 20th century. In excellent condition and looks scarcely worn.
