Japanese Antique Textile Shibori Han-juban
This is a han-juban ( short under kimono ) made of hand-spun cotton for body and muslin for sleeves. It has beautiful shibori ( tie-dyeing ) and shibori techniques are Miura-shibori ( looped binding ) and Kami-ate shibori ( paper-resisted & stitched ). Both sleeves are made of thin wool muslin with printed motif. In good condition except for some small moth holes in the sleeves. Ca. 1900s~1930s 124cm x 72cm 48.8" x 28.3"
