| This is a beautiful andon( lantern ) which is made of wood and coated with brown urushi ( japanese lacquer ). The light source was oil or a candle in old days, but a light bulb is replaced for this one. You can see the prominent craftsmanship of wood, especially in the round cover. In excellent condition.
