This is a kataginu made of hand-spun asa ( hemp ). It is worn with hakama ( bottom ) by samurai over kimono in summer. We call a set of kataginu and hakama, "kamishimo" which was a formal wear of samurai. In excellent condition. Edo period ( 18th or 19th century ). 70cm x 83cm
