This is a boy's festive kimono made of beige plain weave silk. It has "Takara-zukushi" design which is free-hand painting with Japanese ink. Takara-zukushi is a design with many kinds of treasures such as lucky mallet, sacred gem, straw raincoat which can be a shield to hide, hand scroll, gold pouch, cloves, mandarine orange flowers etc. It has wear and rips. Mid to late 19th century. 84cm x 88cm
