Lovely cribbage game made of carved walrus tusk ivory. It features a fish body adorned in very nice scrimshaw decorations. It is signed by the artist, Charles Penatac of King Island, Alaska(1911-1988). The tongue can be remove from the fish to reveal a storage area for 4 pegs. This wonderful carved blackware jar is by Legoria Tafoya and her daughter Celes, of Santa Clara Pueblo, New Mexico. The small polished jar features a carved Avanyu wrapped around the mid body of the vessel. It is signed "Legoria & Celes Sta Clara Pueblo" on the underside. The piece is in excellent condition, with no chips or cracks. It measures 2.5" x 2.5" and weighs about 5 ounces. This is a lovely black on black bowl by "Blue Corn"(Crucita Gonzales Calabaza) of San Ildefonso Pueblo, New Mexico. Although Blue Corn is most famous for re-introducing San Ildefonso polychrome wares, she also made redware and blackware, such as this. This bowl features a feather motif, and is signed on the bottom. It is in good condition, no chips or cracks. It measures 4.5" x 2.5" and weighs about 9 ounces...

This fine example of pueblo pottery is a black on black mini vase by Maria Martinez, of San Ildefonso, and her daughter-in-law, Santana. It dates somewhere between 1954 and 1956.
