NAZCA DOUBLE SPOUT GLOBULAR VESSEL. Ca. 300 - 600 A.D. Ex private New Jersey collection. This polychrome example is 7 3/4 inches tall with diameter at median 5 1/2 inches. Zoomorphic of character with vulture eating a mollusk on opposing sides. Also on opposing sides between the vultures are two fishes that appear to be sharks. Vivid contrast of reds, chocolate, black and amber on cream background. Aside minor paint chipping this piece is in excellent condition.
