| Moche zoomorphic, phytomorphic bichrome botanical ceramic frog stirrup vessel. Red shades on dark cream with feline characteristics. Low relief hind legs, wearing necklace of four similar attachments. Of typical agricultural ritual, fertility significance incorporating manioc tubers in relief on back and exaggerated feline ears and nose. Pseudo teeth painted on upper lip. Stirrup reattached visibly. Some pitting and root marks. ca A.D. 400 - A.D. 600 (late Moche). Acquired by descent pre 1967. 8 inches/20.3 cm tall by 7 inches/17.8 cm long.
