Chancay Polychrome Figures(2) - with Huari influence. Ca 1000 to 1200 AD. Highly decorated male and female figures. Prolific geometric frontal decorations in browns, creams, chocolate and white as loin cloths, necklaces, bracelets, headdress, tattoos and more. Each has large spooled earrings. Each holding hands to chest, arms in relief. Spine defined by cleaved back. Each detailed with prominent, swollen genatalia. Male 9 inches/22.8 cm tall, female 8 inches/20.3 cm tall. Sheridan collection. Excellent condition.
