Moche/Chimu Transitional Head Vessel. Ca A.D. 700 - 900 Ex East Coast collection. Acquired pre 1967. Completely intact. Excellent condition. 7.5in/19cm tall by 6.5in/16.5cm wide. Depicting Moche noble man wearing upward radiating headdress with teeth bareing jaguar face centered on forehead in headdress. Headdress is banded around back of head and tied under chin. Man is wearing large nose ornament covering mouth.
