Circa 1830. Original watercolor from the artist Seisei Shugetsu's sketchbook of a mythical unicorn type animal. Bears label to verso from Brentano's Galerie Moderne with artist's name, date, and the title "Mythical Animal" In very good condition with just some light foxing, it measures sight size: 7" high by 9.75" wide, framed size 15.5" x 20.75".

A lovely paper fan featuring two beautiful Chinese maidens. Beautifully painted, this fan has been wonderfully preserved using the best archival acid free paper available, it is further protected by a UV filtering glass pane. This very early 20th C. (1910) is sure to please as it has all the features of a Chinese poem with artist seal intact. The fan itself measures 21" long. The framed size measures 30" long x 20” high.
