Very large Chinese cloisonne and bronze brazier. Standing on a cloisonne base and 3 feet shaped as tao teih masks, the brazier's 24" height is perfect for distributing heat. The cloisonne body and base have a rust (reddish orange brown)ground with colorful flowers complemented by matching yellow pierced (for venting)lid of similar design. There is a handle on each side of a stylized mythological animals and a foo dog stands guard at the top of the lid...

It is unusual to find a Japanese Ainu bear cub in this sitting position. Hand carved using traditional tools (More recent bears are carved using machine tools), it is made with one piece of wood. Signed and dated 1971, this charming cub is in excellent condition and measures 14" high. Please note the excellent detailing in the cub's fur.

Chinese ivory carving of an open clam with a horse and rider, pagoda, rock garden, 9 villagers including people resting, walking or sitting, all surrounded by trees. On the top of the clam are 2 fish at one end and 3 top shells (a type of marine snail) at the opposite end. This very intricate diorama is 3 layers deep. With the exception of 2 small chips (see last photo, one is on a fish tail), this piece is excellent condition and measures a hair over 5" long, 2” high, by 2.5" deep...
