| A nice and unique Japanese altar, circa 1940's. This altar was for the typical Japanese home, in it contained a small Buddha, censer, two vases for flowers, an offering dish with fruit. This is a wonderful accent piece, and with some imagination you can purchase these items to complete the scene, or use what is in your existing collection to complete the presentation. The altar is made from a light Japanese pine and is beautifully lacquered. The is some slight deterioration to the hinges on the left side, but they have been professionally repaired and stabilized. The shrine measures 26" high, 15" wide, and 12.5" deep. | |||||||||
