“White Horse” by Jiang Tie-Feng is a limited edition serigraph/silkscreen on canvas. Hand embellished and signed by the artist, this piece has been professionally framed (see 2nd photo) in a simple but elegant gold gilt frame. Because the serigraph is hand embellished on canvas, it has the look and feel of an original oil or acrylic painting and is in excellent condition. B. 1938 - Jiang was born in Ningbo, Zhejiiang Province, China, and trained under the famous Chinese artist Huang Yongyu. As a colorist, Jiang's intention was to reverse the trend of the stale Chinese tradition of painting in gray, black, and white. His paintings exhibit a rich array of colors and are steeped in Buddhist mythology. During China’s Communist Regime, Jiang had to perfect his art in secrecy. In 1983 he moved to the United States where he was able to paint with out fear of persecution. The results of this freedom are amazing as Jiang continues to create his intricate paintings. Jiang’s art has exhibited at many museums including the University of Southern California Gallery, the New England Center of Contemporary Art, and the Olin Fine Art Center. Measurements: Framed: 41” x 41”, Sight size: 36’ x 36” Numbered: 140/300 Signed: Yes Year: 1997 COA: Yes List price unframed: $6,500 - $9,750 |
