Alfred Jackson (1842-1912) was in the jewellery trade in England and convicted of a crime in 1864. As a result he was transported to Perth, Western Australia where he arrived in 1866. He was paroled in 1875 and set up his own business in Fremantle (not far from where our shop is now). He moved to Geraldton in 1885 and 2 years later to Albany. His pieces seldom come on the market. This 9ct Gold Rhodolite Garnet Gypsey set ring is a great example of his work. The ring width tapers from 10mm at the top to around 7.5mm under the finger. This ring is unique and once sold cannot be replaced. Excellent condition. SATISFACTION GUARANTEED.
