| This rare 7" Doulton Lambeth jug was made to celebrate the meeting of the Australian States in January 1886 after the Federal Council of Australia Act was passed by the British parliament in 1885. It has a miner and a sheep shearer surrounded by a wreath in front. The rear shows a pair of clasped hands sealing the agreement with the following verse: "SONS BE WELDED, EACH AND ALL INTO ONE IMPERIAL WHOLE, ONE WITH BRITAIN, HEART AND SOUL ONE LIFE, ONE FLAG, ONE FLEET, ONE THRONE, BRITONS, HOLD YOUR OWN AND GOD GUARD ALL."
