| What an interesting contraption! 5" X 4" in excellent condition, this is marked: NYMOLLE, ART FAIENCE, DENMARK and signed: EMETT. Number 2134-411 from the Nymolle Aviation Series. Rowland Emett (1906-1990): British author/artist/engineer of "Gothic-Kinetic" sculptures which actually operated, as opposed to William Heath Robinson (UK) and Rube Goldberg (USA) who only drew such imaginative inventions. Quotes by Emett: 'It is a well known fact that all inventors get their first ideas on the back of an envelope. I take slight exception to this, I use the front so that I can include the stamp and then the design is already half done.'
