INTRODUCTION
Hong's gallery focuses on original Chinese watercolor realistic and impressionistic paintings. Topics include but not limited to magnolia, lotus, peony, plum blossom, lily, water lily, orchid, wistaria, iris, rose, chrysanthemum, bamboo, grape, small insects (e.g. ladybug, dragonfly, and grasshopper), animals (e.g. birds, cat, horse, tiger, dragon, squirrel, pheasant, quail, etc.), as well as landscape. For your painting, we provide free customized design. Chinese stone chop (seal) has been more and more popular all over the world. Chop carving is another highlight of our gallery. Also, we are the ONE and ONLY store to make Han clothes (han fu) and rare Chinese minority costume in USA, with the collaboration of a professional tailor. We thank our God Father for his grace, and pour our soul into the religious arts of ours. ABOUT THE ARTIST
Mr. Joseph Hong is a life member of National Calligraphy and Painting Association and Art Academy as well. He has been instructed systematically and professionally by the famous Chinese artist and Beihong Xu's disciple, Ms. Reizhen Wu for painting skills on flower-and-bird, then by Mr. Jigao Yu and Mr. Jiming Gao for realism and impressionism study. Not only did he study the theory of traditional painting from the great works in Song Dynasty, but also learned from, imitated, and sublimed from the nature. His works include Yulan flower-and-bird, lotus flower-and-bird, peony, plum blossom, water lily, orchid, rose, chrysanthemum, all kinds of birds, grape, fish, horse, insects, bamboo, etc. All in all, he is good at Chinese realistic and impressionistic painting of flower-and-bird, landscape, people as well as different kinds of Chinese calligraphy, e.g. Kai, Cao, and Zhuan, and stone chop carving. Some of his works have been collected by galleries or museums. He has won prizes nationwide, e.g. the silver prize in the Chinese Arts Conference, and had the Honor of Chinese Artist and Celebrity.
