Lovely antique wooden adjustable fish-shaped lock (Yokogi) of pothook (Jizaikagi) for Japanese traditional hearth (Irori), dated back to Edo period, 19th century. Quite an exceptionally pure expression with simple iron-eyes, through the rough and easy carving on well-used and well-fumigated body in the tasteful feeling of "maturely melting", as a recommendable Mingei folk art piece for the decoration as Okimono and for its practical use as Yokogi as its usage.
