Japanese Seto-made square pottery tile (Shikigawara) engraved with the traditional arabesque pattern (Karakusa),
covered with pale pink glaze hardly seen as rare coloring, in fine antique condition as is with aesthetic expected damage.
Besides to be used for the practical tea ceremony (for the use of "Furo") for sure,
highly recommendable to be used as a tray for "sake" sitting cross-legged on the floor or as a vase-stand for flower arrangement, or whatever in the concept of "Mitate".
approx. 24 x 24 x 2cm (9.4 x 9.4 x 0.8in)
