Unusual quality Japanese stoneware plate covered with white slip, designed with primitive and cheerful Akae (lit. 'Red Picture') of deer and monkey in the floral scenery with tasteful crackle background. Considered to be a rare find as an aged Banko ware possibly, specially Kuwana Banko ware of mid-late 19th century as categorized.
