Weathered folk wooden statue of Jizo Bosatsu (Bodhisattva) sitting in the half-lotus position, categorized into 'Minshu-butsu' (or Minkan-butsu), dated back to Edo period, 19th century or earlier, enshrined in fine simplified old 'Zushi' shrine attached with later by the former owner.
Properly remained of abstract but the essential detail with natural damages, as a well-grown, fine incomplete appearance especially for the view of "Wabi". Confirmed a chip at the roof-back of Zushi though.
Zushi - approx. 23cm in height, 13cm in width, 11.5cm in depth (9.1in, 5.1in, 4.5in)
