Old Late Edo Japanese Shakudo Menuki Ebisu
Mid to late edo period (early to mid 19th century) pair of Japanese Menuki - shakudo with gold and silver - in the form of the Japanese Gods Ebisu, God of Fishermen, Good Luck, Working Men, Guardian of Health and small Children, one of the seven gods of Fortune - 16x25mm and Daikoku, God of Wealth Farmers, the Kitchen, sack of Treasures and magic mallet - also known as the father of Ebisu - 16x23 mm - wear to gilding - * NOTE Daikoku appears to be missing the toes on his right foot.
