Antique Kurdish Jambiya Dagger w faux wootz, c. 1875

Well made Kurdish Jambiya with horn handle and wooden sheath covered in silver koftgari mounts and a woven textile. The blade with well defined medial ridge and a faux wootz pattern, as seen on some of these distinctive daggers. Good condition, with some roughness to the last half of the fore-edge, and one ring missing from the scabbard. A very sturdy blade. Measures approx 29cm (11.5in) overall.
