| A fascinating late 20th century Choora, the traditional side-knife of Afghani men. This example measures 12 inches overall, and has a thick T-cross section spine. Aluminum bolsters compliment horn and acrylic or plexiglass scales, under which appear pieces of printed Indian advertisements. Just as we exoticize arabic scripts, the Afghani find interest in latin scripts. Leather covered wood sheath with colorful synthetic decorations. I'd date this piece to the 1970's. An intriguing ethnographic edged weapon. | |||||||
