A finely balanced form and a clean and simple appearance. A small sake cup like this piece is easily overlooked in a store shelf, as I love to visit many markets and stores in Japan. It was more likely produced with many identical pieces, yet this piece survived with a care of several or one owner. Fine clay surface and texture, and great fit in your fingers as you hold. A quiet beauty. Ca. Early to mid 1900s. Dimensions: 2 1/8" diameter 2 1/4" tall
