This elegant mino pottery depicts abstract design on the bottom, along with a hint of dark iron glaze on the top to complete. The body also shows clean vertical lines to enhance the balanced shape. This simple and very modest water-dropper, suiteki, is assumed from the Mino-region, current Aichi and Gifu area. The suiteki is well used as it shows on the surface texture of the bottom and the shape is so nicely rounded that it “comfortably” fits to your palm. The rich dark-brown glaze is applied and there are a few touches of black glaze just to enhance the richness of the glaze modestly. Simple yet refined surface textures is also recognized...
