This painting was painted by Mami Yamamoto-Finke, who is a Japanese native living in the U.S. for the last 26 years. She has practiced Japanese calligraphy all her life and has started to paint with sumi ink several years ago. She adores down to earth motifs and folk arts so her paintings reflects those elements. This particular painting dipicts two country women in indigo kasuri (ikat) cloths and hold wooden buckets on their heads. Original piece and could be matted for an additional fee. The painting fits approximately 9" by 14" matting window. Sumi ink and watercolor on a watercolor paper.
