| This lovely large size furoshiki (wrapping cloth) is probably from the early 1900s to the mid 1900s. The furoshiki is made from hand-span cotton and dyed with indigo. The hand stitching (sashiko) designs hishigata pattern (diamond shape) over the three corners of the furoshiki. Those corners are also reinforced with tiny triangular-shape dense stitches because of protecting them from frequent use. The forth corner is designed with a partial chrysanthemum and a business logo (The kanji character reads 'sho'). There are some light discolorations on the furoshiki due to the age and use and a little tiny hole due to the age and use, otherwise it is in excellent condition. Ca. Early to Mid 1900s Dimensions: Approximately 55" x 50" | ||
