A large and rare antique, circa 1850, French casein tortoise shell casket with bronze ormolu framework featuring a working lock with key. The shell was applied over mahogany or rosewood creating a sturdy chest. Inside is the original silk lining perfectly intact. This chest is superbly crafted and very well preserved, there is just a little wear on the top and wear to the gold gilt on the bronze ormolu consistent with its age...

Unusual English sterling tea caddy spoon. The handle has an intricate design with a cupid above a yet to be monogrammed cartouch. The bowl has a gold wash and features an ornate crest. This spoon would have been used to measure tea out of a very nice tea chest. In excellent condition, the spoon measures 4 3/8" long and 1 3/8" at the widest point. Circa 1880-1900

A magnificently hand chased and engraved 19th C sterling silver coin purse in a most unusual shape. When opened, on the left, are 2 slots for coins and a compartment for folded bills or notes. On the right is an oval frame that may have held a photo or mirror. The purse closes perfectly and it has a mesh wrist strap attached. The case measures about 4" long x 2" wide. The total measurement including the strap and tassel is about 11" long...

Rare 19th C ivory carving of Christopher Columbus in original frame. The frame is carved on all surfaces and has columns on each side. There is evidence in the wood of past wood bores, but not an issue now. Excellent detailing in the ivory figure which measures 4" high x 2.5" wide. Frame measures 5.5" x 4". IF you are a collector this is a rare treasure not to be missed.

A pair of exquisitely carved French ivory court musicians in Louis XIV dress. Excellent detailing, especially in the feathers. The set is mounted in a shadowbox and these photos were shot through glass, the carvings are better than they look online. You will not be disappointed. Made during the American Brilliant Period, 1876 - 1917, this large vase just sparkles. Heavy and deeply cut with classic ABP patterns, the neck features interesting horizontal lines. Well cared for, this center piece vase is in excellent condition with just a few micro abrasions on the bottom base. It is perfect!
