A large decorative 19th C French majolica asparagus serving dish. The asparagus cradle and platter is one piece and finished in the vibrant glazes. It is unmarked which is typical of the period. Rare in style and uniqueness is this set of 6 porcelain seashell plates with gold rims delicately hand painted in soft pastels. Each plate has a different scene of shells and marine life with a translucent blue/green ocean. Painted in the early 20th century and signed Lindsay, the plates are marked on the back "Thomas" and "BAVARIA". These palates would look lovely hung on a wall or displayed on a hutch or china cabinet.
