Extremely rare Yuan dynasty enamel ewer, rounded side with two lugs and flat unglazed base, ewer decorated with qingbai glaze and over glaze enamel motif, a very rare piece very good for reference and studying. The earliest polychrome enamel has been produce in Song to Jin dynasty. they are produce in kiln which producing Chizhou type in north China, the technique of twice firing porcelain first at high temperature and then much lower heat of 700 - 800 degree centigrade was introduce to Jingdezhen in the Yuan era.
Ewer is in good condition with small fritt at tip of the spout, no chip no crack no restoration.
