A Very large Ming Wanli blue and white serving dish with rounded sides and broad flat upturned rim with a bracket lobed rim, stand in low tapering foot ring, dish painted with under glaze blue in Kraak style motif, with ducks in the lotus pond, filling the space between the frame sorounding this scene and edge of the edge of cavveto with diaper pattern, at the cavetto with eight large radiating panels of flower head and Buddhist symbols such as gourd, fan and leaches.
Large serving dish like this were known in Dutch as "lampetchotels" and they are very rare in this size, products of Jingdezhen Jiangxi province.
Dish is in good condition only with 4 cm chip at the rim and 3 fine hairline restored, very rare to find this large dish in this good condition.
