| France 1880-1890 Gouache on paper. "This is an original piece of hand-painted artwork for textile design. It features a wonderful late C19th rug inspired design. It is from the archive of Bianchini Ferier, which was sold at Christies, King St, London in 2001. Bianchini Ferrier, based in Lyon, France, was recognised as the leading printing company to couturiers. Clients included Poiret, Vionnet, Chanel, Schiaperelli, and Dior. The company employed top artists, most famously Raoul Dufy." Good condition: It has some general allover scuffing that doesn't distract from the design. Image size is 19" x 27". | ||
